Description
Laminated glass is a type of safety glass that is made up of two or more glass sheets with one or more interlayers. The interlayers are usually made from polyvinyl butyral (PVB) resin glue film or ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA).
It is made by permanently bonding the glass and interlayers together with heat and pressure. The interlayers support and hold the glass to create a strong, uniformed layer even when broken. When laminated glass breaks, the glass pieces stick together to form a spider web-like pattern, reducing the risk of serious injuries and therefore used as security glass. Its combination of safety, security, sound insulation, and design flexibility make it a preferred choice for many architectural and engineering projects.
