A swing door on a floor spring, often referred to as a pivot door with a floor spring, is a type of door that uses a concealed mechanism in the floor to control its movement. Unlike traditional hinges attached to the side of the door frame, a pivot hinge is typically installed at the top and bottom of the door. The bottom pivot works in conjunction with the floor spring to allow the door to swing open in one or both directions.
